In October 2014 Desmond Browne QC, Anesta Weekes QC, Sam Stein QC, Peter Clark, Alexander Glassbrook and Stephen Murch delivered a round of advocacy training in Warsaw. The Inns of Court College of Advocacy, ICCA (formerly the ATC) trainers were guests of the Polish Bar, with training being led by Tomasz Wardyński CBE.The training delivered consisted of a series of lectures and demonstrations provided by the ICCA in plenary sessions, followed by practical sessions in smaller breakout groups. Plenary sessions included an introduction to the Hampel Method in examination in chief and cross examination as well as a focus on ethics.
The course was very well received and the ICCA are keen to provide a second round of training, inclusive of a Train the Trainer element in 2015.
